I'm not a doctor or any medical person of any kind but i may know a little about this through experience of my own. My nails grow around 2 millimeters a week but how I think you can make them grow faster is if you like bite on them or something to do with your own saliva might let them grow faster since I was wondering how my nails grew so fast and all i remember was biting them but not really desroying them. I suggest you can wash your hands and try biting them or something if you want to let your nails grow faster but i still dont really actually know if it really actually works but i think it works by 88%.

The time it takes for nails to decompose depends on the environment, the burial method and bacteria. Nails take much longer to decompose than soft tissues. Relatively speaking nails could take up to hundreds of years to fully decompose.

If your entire fingernail has come off, that’s considered a **serious nail injury**, and here’s what you should do right away: First Aid Steps **Stop the bleeding** – Apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth or sterile gauze until bleeding stops. **Clean the area** – Rinse with clean, cool water. Avoid using harsh soaps or alcohol directly on the wound as it can sting and slow healing. **Protect it** – Cover with sterile gauze or a non-stick bandage to prevent infection and cushion the nail bed. **Elevate** – If your finger is swollen, keep your hand elevated to reduce swelling and throbbing. **Pain relief** – Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen may help. When to See a Doctor If the injury was caused by a crush, slam, or serious trauma If the area won’t stop bleeding If you notice pus, redness, or signs of infection If part of the nail bed is exposed or badly damaged If you have diabetes or circulation problems (higher risk of complications) What to Expect The nail will usually regrow, but it can take **3–6 months for fingernails** and **6–12 months for toenails** to fully come back. The new nail may look different in texture or shape. 👉 In the meantime, keep the area clean, covered, and dry, and change dressings daily until it heals.
Fingernails typically grow about 1/8 inch per month, while toenails grow at a slower rate of about 1/16 inch per month. This rate can vary depending on factors such as age, health, and genetics. A full replacement of a fingernail can take about 4-6 months, and for a toenail, it can take 12-18 months.
