'Ex' means you are no longer together as partners whether dating, living together or married. Generally the wise move on in different directions. Every time I hear of someone waiting for their ex to come back it reminds me of an old Carol Burnett skit she did about being a 'kept woman' but her lover (Harvey Korman) was too busy living the high life with his wife while his mistress (Carol) sat in her little apartment growing old and missing out on life. The motto here is ... never wait for anyone! It's time you moved on and started going out with friends and getting back into the social scene. There are some great guys out there. I am much older than you and I've learned that sometimes we go through heartache for a reason ... because there is that special someone out there you should really be with.
