Almost every child goes through a period of time of "hating" a parent or both parents. This is a normal stage, typically happening during puberty into teenage years. It is what Erikson and other authorities in "Normal Development" studies call "individuation", which is the process every teen goes through to separate from their parents and begin to grow into adults.

HOWEVER, this animosity / anger / "hatred" will typically turn around as the teenager grows into a young adult. Sometimes, kids still feel animosity toward their parents (especially girls toward their mothers) UNTIL the "child" gets married and has a child of his/her own.
