The exact weight isn't as important as muscle mass and overall conditioning. Remember that physical condition is far more important than the number on a scale. Grab the skin on your abdomen. If you can "pinch more than an inch" you might be a candidate to loose a few pounds. If you can grab a big fat roll, yea, go on a diet and exercise more. If you're trim (not much fat), work hard to keep your muscle mass and remain healthy. That means eating enough protein to keep the muscles in shape. If you're overweight, try to loose through EXERCISE instead of diet, especially at your age. A little vigorous exercise such as running or cycling can melt a few extra pounds quickly. Dieting, ESPECIALLY AT YOUR AGE, can result in serious probems. Remember that a good looking, fit female should have a few extra pounds of well distributed fat. It helps to smooth out the skin and gives the body a chance to properly develop. Serious developmental problems can result if you don't allow your body to have 10% body fat. That should be your target, no matter what your height and weight. Remember that muscle and bone weigh more than fat, so a fit person will weigh more than a fat person even if they wear the exact same size of cloths.
