You will not be a snitch you may be saving his or her life, or at least if his/her perants take appropriate action Every person is different) you might make your friend's life happier. Sometimes being a friend means betraying their confidence if it's in their best interest....you owe it to your friend to tell his/her parents or whichever other adult is closest to them.
