You need to go rent the movie or read the play The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare. She more than likely likes you ALOT, but is secretly nervous and afraid of how much she really likes you. We all like to get attention from others, but when it comes to someone you REALLY like, and REALLY want to be with, everything changes. It matters more, because there is more at stake. There is a certain loss of control. This man could hurt you, break your heart, whatever. The logic for her goes: Protect yourself! Put up your guard, before its too late!
I can promise you this: If you see her talking and flirting with other men with ease and calm, and then acting cool or indifferent around you: It's LOVE! It means she is in love with you, and that is really, really scary!! Haven't you ever been in love? Doesnt' it make you nervous? Dont you get sweaty palms or butterflies in your stomach? That's what this situation sounds like.
Your next step should be to be DIRECT with her and ask her on a date. Nothing too serious. Maybe a museum or play or a movie. It might take a few tries to get her to loosen up and open her heart to the possibility of someone actually caring for her for who she really is and not just giving her attention to "get her", and really liking her as she is. But if you are patient, your reward will be great!
Good luck!:-)
