the actual marriage will not be legal in Oklahoma bc Oklahoma does not recognize gay/lesbian marriages even if i get married in another state where it is legal. i know when i get the marriage license in Iowa (where lesbian marriages are considered legal) i can request on the application to change my name but when i get back to Oklahoma do i take my marriage license to the ss office or am i going to have to file to change my name in Oklahoma as well?
