Is being single a bad thing?

Not at all..... I am somewhat happy being single myself. I say this because i have been very unlucky in love and i wish i could have a great relationship with someone but when i look back at all the stress and unhappiness i went through with past lovers, i feel relieved that i am single. I would rather be alone than unhappy and be made to cry, feel unloved and imperfect by the person i am in love with. I hate that being single has a stigma attached to it like single people are dirty or pathetic in someway. Just because some of us are single it does not mean we cannot find a partner or that we are unattractive. It means we have not met our match so to speak and whilst we are single we are doing lots of things for ourselves and other peole and enjoying being alone rather than depending on someone else to make us feel good or accepted. So once again NO being single is not a bad thing. Remember even God himself is single and he spends his time loving and taking care of other people who deserve his love rather than focusing on one individual who may betray you eventually.....Anon

That is a person's individual choice. Some people prefer to remain single and occasionally date while others feel they need a partner in life.

If you like your life the way it is and you aren't inclined to give up a few things in life or find you really don't like commitment, but be a free spirit then remain single.

Being a single in periods is a good thing for some people like divorced men / women. If you are in a bad relationship, being single is much better.
