if you enter a relationship with someone who is not completely single you have told that person that you dont mind being with them if they are kind of sort of still with someone else and then they will always be with someone else and you will always be kind of sort of sharing them.

In my experience, separated usually means one of three things: 1) Divorce is being seriously considered, and chances of reconciliation are slim; 2) Divorce is pending, and chances of reconciliation are almost nonexistent; or 3) They say they're separated as a ruse to get you to sleep with them.

It then becomes a question of where you stand morally, and whether or not you believe they're actually separated. No one can answer this question, except you.

No. Doing so would come under the laws governing Bigamy. It is not legal to knowingly marry someone who is legally married to another. Your marriage would be invalid. The man already has a legal wife.
