Just be careful that she doesn't post any pictures of herself, reveal any personal information such as her town, school, etc, or ever go to meet someone she met online. You always want to be cautious of online predators.

I do not think it is okay. It is not good to just date people online; the relationship will never last, because you cannot actually go on a real date. 12 is too young to have a boyfriend anyway.

No, it's a very bad idea. While there are a lot of good people online, there are also people called "sexual predators." These are men who are usually much older, but they claim they are just your age, in order to get you to meet with them. On the internet, unless you are using a visual service like Skype, you have no way of knowing if you are talking to a teenager or to an older guy who is pretending, and wants to cause trouble for you.

Also, I think the age of twelve is a little bit young for any kind of boyfriend, in real life or online. I'd recommend having friendships, and give yourself some time so that when you do meet guys you want to date, you will be mature enough and so will they.
