* I am so sorry that you are in this delicate situation. You should only sign the card in your name and then as a return address you could put Mrs. E. Smith or Ms. E. Smith (If your husband's name was Edward.) When my mother became a widow she always signed her return address with my father's first initial and also had this on the intercom in the condo complex she lived in as a safe guard. Today many women that are married will sign their return address as stated above and not even add their own name in or, women may sign just their own Christian name along with the surname, but inside the card sign it John and Sue (providing the husband is not deceased.)
