you mean like a he-she? or an it? lol no. there's boys and girls, that's it. Unless you're a transvestite, meaning you change your gender. But otherwise there's no natural way to be both a boy and girl.

The answer you don't usually get in sex-ed class, but should:

The above answer is not quite true. There is another option, intersex, which is an umbrella term that covers a lot of natural variation. There are people born with the reproductive parts of both genders; there are people born with the chromosomes of one gender (eg XY) and the anatomy of the other (eg F); there are people with extra chromosomes (eg XXY); there is androgyny, with little or no physical gender cues.

Our culture is uncomfortable with this ambiguity, pushing intersex people (or their parents) to give a single-gender identity, regardless of its aptness. Babies with both 'parts' were traditionally given surgery at birth to assign a single gender, usually female if the male penis was irregular, small, etc. The odd thinking behind this is that the penis makes the man. Now more genetic testing and assessments are made to medically determine pros and cons of each.

As a side note, transvestite is just when you wear clothes of the opposite gender, and has nothing to do with how you feel in your own skin or your sexual preferences. Transgender is when you change your gender.
