If that doesn't work, just dress prettier and make your hair prettier. And lastly, if that doesn't work, make a plan with your guy friends for them to call you pretty around him, or just get up on you when he is around, but don't make it obvious unless he is making it absolutely obvious. That is his choice; he has unresolved issues with the ex. If you are being used in this way, then you may want to reconsider the relationship since he is not ready to build one with you. An option is to give your relationship a hiatus until he no longer needs to do this. If you are available then, perhaps you can start up again.
