Believe it or not this has all the makings of a good relationship. Both of you seem to communicate well and are respectful and honest with each other. As hard as I am sure it was for you, you took the chance and set him free to experience being with other women. Sometimes a person doesn't have enough experience with the opposite sex and perhaps didn't date much and they want to be sure that if they stay with the person they love that it true love and with luck they won't cheat later on in the relationship. I am sure if he wants to give it another try with you he has found out the 'grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.' Communicate with him again and tell him that this time there has to be some commitment attached to your relationship and that he is not going to be ping ponging back and forth from you to other women because you are a one man woman and will walk away if he should want to repeat his actions at a later date.
