I'm sorry to hear of your recent break up. Break ups are difficult and painful! Unfortunately there is no simple way to ease the pain except by allowing yourself to feel it. In fact the best thing you can do is to be present to your pain in the same way that you would be present if a close friend or family member was in a similar situation.

It's normal to feel rejection after a break up. It's normal to feel a whole array of emotions such as sadness, anger, abandonment, fear, and loneliness.

Time will heal the pain. However, there are also some things you can do to help yourself heal in the meantime:

See a therapist if necessary

Write and/or talk it out

Grieve at your own pace

Let it go

Start a mediation practice

Know that you aren't alone

Use this period of transition to get to rediscover yourself, reevaluate life your life priorities, and expand new interests.
