The effects divorce can have on children will depend a lot on the ages of children. Younger children ,including toddlers, will feel a sense of abandonment when one parent appears to be missing. Older children (late teens) may resent the parent who chose divorce and consider that parent selfish for making their own life a priority instead of the whole family. Children in between are too old to feel abandoned but too young to assign blame to either parent. Therefore, they tend to blame themselves.
Splitting an alternate wording from a parent question is counted in the "Organization" type of contributions.
It depends if there was a will or not. Step-children have no rights to the estate of a step-parent unless specifically named in the will. If there was no will, the estate is typically divided between the spouse and the children. Check the laws for your state or jurisdiction.

I believe 5 chromosomes because it's splitting evenly between 2 new cells. And of course the cell is smaller, but they both receive half of the DNA of the parent cell if that makes sense.

The splitting of the parent nucleus into two daughter nuclei is called nuclear fission. This process releases a large amount of energy and is the basis for nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons.
Many cultures today frown on incestuous relationships. From a scientific standpoint, children produced through incestuous procreation will have significant genetic problems and suffer life-long health effects; the closer in relation the incestuous parents, the worse the effects. Cousins would produce children with fewer serious effects than full siblings or parent/child, but would still be significant.
If there is no will, the law normally splits the estate between the spouse and the natural children.
