polite way of saying shut up and listen.
I don't agree with this. I talk more face to face than say.. on the phone, or computer.
Connie Dieken has written: 'Talk less, say more'
Means be able to back up what you say
More means that say for an example "i want two scoops of icecream" meaning you want another. Few is meaning "i want one scoop of icecream" which is less.
Instead of 'more dishonestly', it might be better to use 'less honestly'. 'More dishonestly' is an awkward way to say what you're meaning.
There's nothing more to it then just saying "hey babe"
It means that you can say a lot in a few words, if they are well chosen and pithy. It also suggests that if you do not talk in excess, people will be more likely to pay attention when you do talk and so your words will be more effective and in effect say more.
I would say no, a parrot does not talk more than a cockatoo.
No, it is not okay to say :as less as possible." That is incorrect because "less" is comparative meaning that it needs to be followed by "than (something)." It is better to say "as little as possible," or "as few as possible."
The same word in Latin - minus, meaning less
"Nosotros necesitamos hablar más".
No. It should be either "Don't talk like that." or "Don't say it like that." depending on the meaning you are trying to convey.
