Anyone can say words but actions are necessary to maintain any kind of relationship. You must spend time developing and maintaining friendships, spend time together, develop trust, etc.
The proverb easy come, easy go, means that things that are easily obtained can disappear just as easily. If no hard work was involved in getting something, it is also not such a big deal if you lose it.
