I would NOT recommend that a citizen, totally unknown to the officer, display a weapon to them! It might result in their death or severe injury.However, that being said . . . it would have to be under some unusual circumstances. If the citizen held a valid CPWL permit, and if the officer was clearly under duress, AND , the whole incident turned out successfully, it would probably not result in any adverse actions against the citizen.
