What age is appropriate for you to crush on a boy?

There isn't a real age for it I would say at least middle school but make sure u know what love is.

I believe there's no real age that you have to be to have a crush, emotions aren't like laws; they really can't be controlled. But most of the time people have crushes around 12-13 in girls and 13-14 in guys. But if you have one earlier that doesn't mean you're weird; it just means that you really like this person a lot or that your emotions are developing earlier than most; and if you have one later, you're just holding out for the "right person" as they say. I had my first crush when I was 11 which is like a year earlier than most girls; and my friend had her first crush when she was like 17 and they're still together four years later. Keep in mind having a crush and having a boyfriend/girlfriend are two completely different things. Having a boyfriend/girlfriend means you are committing to a relationship with one person and not "seeing anyone else" when in this relationship; while you can have a crush on many people because crushes just mean you show interest in a person and because feelings change it's not always wise to ask out every person you have a crush on.

So long story short, there's no age you have to be but most have crushes around 12-14 years old and if you don't have one then, or had one before, that's fine; because like I said before, unlike laws, emotions can't really be controlled. Just because you have a crush, it doesn't mean you have to go out with the person.

Any age, i don't think there's an actual limit to that kind of thing.

There's really no appropriate age. Some people start having crushes at age 4 or 5. At such a young age, you don't know what you want to do with the person. You're not thinking about sex, or even heavy making-out. All you know is you like looking at this person, you get nervous around them, and you just want to be near them all the time, and maybe kiss them. There's nothing dirty about it.

Dating is generally not a good idea for anyone under age 10, but you can't help what you feel. If you have a crush on someone, then there's no way to turn it off or stop the feelings.

It's really pointless to say, "Oh, you shouldn't be having crushes until you're 8, or 10," or whatever. Anyone who says that is just uncomfortable with, and in denial of, reality. The fact is, many very, very young children DO have crushes, so, obviously, it is perfectly natural at almost any age.
