What are bad things about school uniforms?

Public schools shouldn't issue uniforms because it is a burden on the parents. The parents would have to spend a lot of money buying the uniforms (five for the whole week) and the parents would have to wash them each week because they have five. During the breaks, what would the kids wear? They would only wear their regular clothes for a week, and then go back to their uniform. School uniforms are too expensive for most parents' budgets these days.

First and foremost, they are minors. Minors often don't make good choices, which is the entire reason they are not given the rights of an adult.

The schools have a duty to the community to provide a safe environment that allows effective learning.

Distracting clothing is a detriment to effective learning.

Sexual explicit, obscene or hate language and symbols, clothing and accessories that intimidates others go against this basic principle.
