A simple folded small blanket or a clean cloth diaper draped over the child's head and the womans breast can make it a private moment while out in public. What is the big deal? I can see two instances where it could be a "problem". One would be a childish adult acting stupid. The other would be a "mother earth" mom, who wants the whole world to know she is doing the best for her child, that she has no "hang-ups" about it, is not shy (or is a bit of an exhibitionist) and makes no attempt to respect her child or other people and lets it all hang out. That would be a big deal, and would be inappropriate in any public setting. * Besides being an important bonding moment, breast milk is far superior to anything else.
