When you pair up, you always work better with friends because if you don't know the person who you are working with it's very awkward, for the both of you. From my past experiences my grades have lowered because of this, even my teachers understand this.
Be up front, tell them the reason, tell them you're sorry, don't make excuses, and then shut up. If they are your friends, they will understand. If they are not, it's good to find it out now.

Some good excuses for bringing 20 dollars to school is lunch money for the week, going to the store or to get food after school with friends, or that you need supplies such as books, pens, and paper and your school sells it. Be prepared to answer question regarding why you need the full amount that week or where you would be going with friends.
Excuses work most of the time but it matters on how good the excuse is or on how gullible the person is. You also have to know when to use an excuse it can't be when the person you want to talk to is angry do it when they are in a good mood (:

I was planning to join a free online English class to improve my language skills. However, my friends said it is not a good idea to attend free online English classes. Why would they claim it may be a bad decision?
Do your friends respect you and are kind to you? Do they talk you with respect and are tolerent of your behaviour? Can you trust them? Do you feel safe and happy while in their presence? If any of these questions answer with a no, then maybe you should ask yourself, "Are these pplz really my friends?"You cant always tell sometimes friends can seem to not be friends until you understand what they are doing. A friend does not have to give you what you want if what you want isn't good for you. Also, if you are in need and your friends don't show the amount of concern appropriate with reasonable excuses, you will know who is or is not your friend.
