Wine.about.com omits Champagne but includes Languedoc-Roussillon in their 7. Still another website, About-France.com, lists 11 main French wine regions, adding Cognac/Charentes, Jura and Medoc to the previously mentioned regions. So, I guess it depends on who you ask.:)
