What do you do if you think your best friend is hiding something from you?

Your friend does not have to tell you everything and is entitled to some privacy. Don't pressure them about this and let this go - when and if they are ready they will tell you but bothering them about it will only make them not tell you - if there is in fact anything to tell.

Well, when your reach your teen years, things get a little complicated. First, they kinda start acting like," Gotta go!" And they might be doing that fake phone call card, that gives them a reason to leave when you are hanging out together. As I can tell, if you typed this question in, your having problems. Well, just pretend it DOESN'T bother you. Oh, and if they do it EVERY time you hang out, talk to them/him/her, and tell them your feelings. Hope things work out! :-) - Aubrey

Your best option would be just to ask your best friend straight, because if they are your best friend then I am sure that they would tell you. However, if you are their best friend you have to understand that they need privacy aswell, try thinking of it as vice versa.. If you had a really personal or embaressing secret that you felt you couldn't tell your best friend (or anyone) then you wouldn't tell anyone? Maybe try telling them something about yourself that they don't already know. And this might encourage them to speak to you about what they are hiding, although make is something serious that you talk about. If you have an idea of what it is try putting that into a conversation but don't let them know that you are talking about them. You could also just say to them that you are worried about them and you feel like they have something bottled up and they should talk about it, try to make them want to talk to you instead of making it sound like you are desperate to know. No matter how close you are with your best friend, everyone wants some privacy in their life. It is your decision if you are going to try and get it out of them but personally I would advise you not to say anything and if they feel comfortable talking to you about it then they will, but only in their own time.
