What do you do when your best friend leaves to another state?

i think that if your friend has gone on holiday for a whole weeek and you hang out with him or her than find some other friend that you know, ask them if you can hang out with them for a week and say that I am only going to hang out with you until my friend comes back and then end the conversation with an okay or sorry I hope you don't mind or something relevant like that anyway. First of all, its not a big deal that someone you care will be moving. Best friend will always be best friend no matter what. Do you believe that distance is what makes a heart fonder? This best friend of yours is not abandoning you, he or she is only transferring to another state. You can look at this way, you will have a place to go to, just like a vacation. So don't let this makes you sad because your best friend is moving to another state.

My friend is moving in 4 days and she is really close to me. I can understand how it feels... some things you can do is give him/her and gift , it doesn't matter how big it is. Maybe even getting friendship necklace/bracelet. If they are moving far away You should get their email and cell phone/ home phone. If they have twitter, facebook, etc. Make sure that you have them on your friends list.. And maybe you can work up the money to Go stay with them ( if far away ) And if they aren't moving far, then you can probably go have playdates, and sleepovers with them doesn't really matter if they are in the same school as you.
