A special occasion is something you don't do on a normal day to day basis:
Time ( as in what time is it) = שעה (sha'a) Time (as in he went 3 times) = פעם (pa'am) Time (season or ocassion) = זמן (zman) Time (special ocassion) = מועד (mo'ed) There is no such phrase in Hebrew as half time. If you mean something like "intermission" or "coffee break" the word is הפסקה (hafsaka)
On ocassion hot, tepid and friendly.
