What does it mean when a shy girl tries to avoid your touch?

It means she doesn't want to feel your to touch. She is being suttle because :

1)she's shy

2)She probably likes your attention but that's it. Not your hands on her

3)Probably wants to be your friend and take it slow and see if maybe eventually she will like you more but she is avoiding your touch because she doesn't yet trust you and honestly there is a chance she may never want you that way.

4)From experience I can say that I have been a shy girl who liked to hang out with guys and I would flirt ect but just becaue I was flirting didn't mean I wanted anything more and if a guy tried to get close through hands on or whatever it pushed me off and kinda grossed me out. I think if she really likes you no matter how shy she will let you know.

Until then just be cool with being her friend and don't try to cast your spell on her through touching. Just remember, if she's shy she still knows what she wants and doesn't want and avoiding your touch is her simple and nice way of letting you know she doesn't like you that way or want that from you without having to actually say the words. She is probably being suttle and hoping you will catch on to her cues.
