Well depends on his personality. If he is shy he might just say hi in the hallways or if he is out there he might mess with you. In my experience most of the guys have been bold so they kind of messed with me a little but complimented me and tried to help me a lot.

For some, it means that they are socially immature and don't know how to express their interest in you using a more socially acceptable way. By "messing with you", it allows them to get your attention without having to express interest in a way that may result in rejection. If they "mess" with you, and you become angry, that's a much more acceptable consequence, since they can always claim that they didn't really like you anyway.

BUT, if he messes with you and you flirt or do something that says that you enjoy the attention, then he has succeeded, and at the same time, he hasn't run the risk of rejection.

A more mature male will not be threatened by the possibility of rejection. A male with confidence and maturity will be much more direct and will not resort to any kind of behaviors that are intended to make you annoyed or uncomfortable. A mature male will be confident enough that if you reject him, it will not affect his feelings of self-worth.

Im pretty sure that it means that he likes you and he want you to like him back. If he is not messing with other girls this means that you have his attention fully. If you like him then i would take full advantage of him liking me and noone else.
