What it really means is that, quite literally, the first person you (in the universal sense) love needs to be yourself. To love yourself first (before you can love others). And that your last love is also yourself for the same reason. Self-love is NOT Narcissism. Self-Love is to care for yourself and to love yourself as much as you would anyone else.
