In my opinion,it all depends on how mature the guy is...but other than that could be two reasons : 1.he told you he liked you,did not receive any sort of response - and was hurt.therefore,chose to avoid any more "pain" by stop talking to you. 2.he told you he liked you for a certain reason,didn't receive the response\reaction he wanted\needed.therefore,he stops talking to you - because he sees no point. But,on a more serious note,I think that a person that genuinely cares about you (without you doing anything harmful,mean to him) wouldn't stop talking to you. Send him an email,explaining how you feel about the situation and ask him if he'd like to meet so you can talk about it like grown ups in a mature way.
