You're the only person who can make decisions in your life. His contacting, however, doesn't mean that your ex wants to renew an actual relationship with you. Some exes keep in contact because they enjoy the 'friend' aspects of you, without the desire to be in an actual relationship with you. Some hope to lessen their guilt over your feelings by keeping in touch, in order not to be the evil dumper. Others are hoping merely for a booty call, or to keep you as a backup in case they don't find someone else they prefer to be in a relationship with.
By keeping in contact with him so soon after the breakup, you're still focusing most of your energy on attempting to win him back. You're trying to read into his every word and action for meaning; you're hoping his contacts to you are because he wants to date you again. But if he wanted to be with you in a relationship, he would be with you now. Having space to yourself by not investing in a revolving door of emotions everytime he contacts you will be far more productive in helping you get over this guy. If you ask him to stop contacting you and he still does so, that's immature.

I have been through this, if kids in your class tease you like this, it is because one of 2 reasons, either you really like the person but don't realize it yourself, or your classmates are immature. And if there immature than just ignore them, and say that it is better having a crush on someone than snooping if someone has one. Just ignore them, if there wrong, you know better. And the more you act nice to them, the better your conscience feels and the more are there conscience bothering them, and believe me, guilt is a very unpleasant thing.
