  • Modern Romance today has been heavily guided by technology such as texting; chat forums, Skype, etc., with often no physical contact and thus, young to more adult individuals are finding it much harder to actually find a well balanced relationship. The media (especially TV) has also had influence on 'dating clubs' and most of the them are bogus and, in some cases just a good way around having one night stands. The media portrays a loving relationship, but often causes peer pressure because some individuals feel they are not attractive enough or have enough to give in a relationship. The good old fashion way of meeting someone at school; work; or other social places where there is eye contact; conversation and getting to know that person and then physical contact is a much healthier way to go rather than the cold and often untrue text messages individuals may or may not believe and it can be risky. The other changes in this modern world is exes trying to stay friends when they should be going their separate ways. Commitment seems to be another unfortunate issue going out the window and obviously not taken seriously enough by some in Modern Society. Even though things have changed in today's world there are still many who are searching and hoping to find their true love.
