Pathological Jealousy, sometimes called delusional jealousy, is when a person holds a belief, which is wrong, that a partner (e.g. huband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend) is being unfaithful to them. The person usually goes to great lengths to find evidence that this is the case, and will often draw mistaken conclusions from events, or objects that they think are evidence, even when they are obviously not. My wife is extremely suspicious and constantly going through these swings of accusing me of cheating. I have cut off all friendships, socials with co-workers and avoid conversation with females. I dont want to give her a reason to think I am cheating. She accounts for my whereabouts each moment of the day and I have to answer my cell phone always or have to explain why. She has always been insecure since i met her and hoped that one day things would get better. I have never cheated and I would never for 2 reasons: I love her and promised her i would never cheat on her, that would just devastate her and confirm her thoughts, condition. The second is I would be too afraid to cheat thinking what rage she might turn into.
