If the interview happens in the interviewer's office, try commenting on how neat is the office, how cute is the children in the picture frame, how creative is the children's drawing, the book titles that you are interested in or have read, etc.
In a conference room, try describing something you observed on your way to the interview. For example, you are delighted at how the other employees greet you or treat you so well; you are impressed with the multi-media in the room, or the facility, etc.
Bottomline -- natural smile and be positive about all aspects; keep negative comments to a trickle; don't fib excessively. Don't bad-mouth your previous employers or employees. Don't sell yourself short.
