What is being done to stop the honor killings?

There is actually very minimal action being taken to stop honor killings. Most people who campaign against them are simply demonized as being Islamophobic and their very serious concerns and criticisms are stigmatized, instead of the deplorable crime itself. In the Islamic World, most states ignore the issue and some actively sympathize with the murderer and the family for the shame brought upon them by the victim.

Amnesty International is helping but that is more to do with the wider circle of human rights.
