Client Development falls into two categories, New Client Development and Existing Clients Development.

New Client Development regards the various aspects of acquiring new clients. This can include advertising, cold contacting, referrals from current clients working current networks or associates or other methods used to obtain new contacts of potential client.

Existing Client Development regards the various aspects of increasing the value of current clients. This can include, periodic reviews of services provided, advertisements included with shipments, invoices or other correspondence, sales calls or promotional items given to inform clients of other products or services offered or other methods used to increase the value of current clients.
