What is the right age to get a girlfriend?

It really doesn't matter what age, it is how mature you are. Some boys might have "girlfriends" (as opposed to girls who are friends) as early as 12 or 13, while others lack the social skills until 17 or 18.

There are many opinions on being in a relationship, and there really isn't one determined age. It's really when you become mature enough to handle an actual relationship. Remember to always do what you feel is right. Never do the wrong thing. Again- there isn't a direct age. Around your teen years.

When you feel comfortable around her like talking reading together all of that stuff your ready doesn't matter if your 10 for that matter as long as your comfortable around her thats what matters. I'm only twelve and I've had 8 girlfriends LOL.

No law exists to limit the age of relationships. Although, far too many young people chase one-to-one (girlfriend/boyfriend) relationships. It isn't certain whether this is due to peer or media pressure, or if it is a cultural holdover from a time when life expectancies were dramatically less than they are today.

The fact is no one needs a girlfriend or boyfriend, especially anyone under the age of 20 or so. The only reason for anyone to have a girlfriend or boyfriend is preparatory to marriage.

In the world today, especially today, it is far more important that young people devote as much attention to their education as possible. Anything that detracts from that should be eliminated from the young person's life. Chasing relationships becomes distracting, and leads far too often to behavior that is criminal in the US.

Take your time. Live your childhood. When it is time for you to find that person, you will. And, if you do start looking eventually, look first at your best friends.

Another perspective:Usually a smart move would be. . . When your ready, don't rush cuz all your friends have them, and you don't all that drama in school either.

There's no age limit on having a girlfriend, only on having sex. As long as you aren't getting too cuddly with each other you can have a girlfriend at any age.

Technically, u can get a girlfriend/boyfriend at any age but usually, girlfriends/boyfriends start appearing at around 11-13 years old
