My Guess, and it sounds theological, would be something akin to Unmerited Grace, a divine gift as opposed to a reward or merit thing- stretching things a bit- Divine Luck! It could also apply to many of Christ"s miracles which cannot be explained rationally such as the Transfiguration, celebrated on August 6. I once heard a Priest declare it was held in the seminary that (Nobody could come up with a good sermon topic on the Transfiguration) The event could be used, of course to rally for coexistence and cooperation between Christians and Jews, or to explore the Judeo-Christian linkage. This is, sadly, rarely done.
