Some men enjoy exciting women that say and do what they feel like; some men enjoy the "girl toy" that he can show off, and many men enjoy a shy girl and actually by today's standards find shy girls rather refreshing. You won't be shy forever. Once you get into your later years shyness does pass and before you know it you'll be saying "no" to everything and "yes" to the things you want to do. You just haven't met the right person yet.

I think guys are just sometimes convinced shy girls are arrogant because they can be quiet, but personally i would prefer a shyer girl over a more outgoing, brash girl.

Speaking as a guy who used to be quite shy myself: Normally a shy guy likes someone who is really sweet and cute, but it just depends on the guy.

As a guy who was extremely shy for most of his life & who has had many shy friends, I can say that most shy guys are really good people & that they tend to be attracted to really nice, caring girls who are often shy themselves.

I have noticed however, that some apparently shy guys are really not shy, but just cold & uncaring, if you are a nice girl, you should watch for warning signs as you bring the nice guy you are interested in out of his shell.

Usually girls that are capable of deeper conversation. If a guy is shy, he'll find it very difficult to make the first move, but might shy away if you come on too strong. Start just by starting conversations with him, and if he gets more shy while you're talking to him, flirt a little. He may be too afraid to make the first move, but if you ask him out, he'll probably trip over himself saying yes. If you want him to ask you out, make comments like "Why are guys like you so hard to find." Those types of comments will boost his confidence, but it might take a while for him to work himself up to asking you out.
