If you're only a year over age and she's only a year under age, you might be ok legally depending on your location (some locations make an allowance for the difference between ages being less than 2 years) but you should probably wait the year anyways - you can "date", like go out and spend time together, but you shouldn't engage in sexual activity. Here's an important part as well: You should never be caught in a position where it might seem as though you had the opportunity to have sex. Never be alone with her for extended periods of time - it's asking for trouble. Not knowing this girl, I don't know if she's stand-up or not, so she could be the kind who'll get you in trouble if you try to break it off or something - don't put yourself in a position where she could do that.If she's cool, she could be worth the wait and she'll be wicked impressed if you tell her you'll wait for her.
