What to do while babysitting?

While the children are awake, you can play games, like checkers, or depending on their age. There are some good kids indoor games on the net. You can have a snack with them, and make sure to always to what the parents ask. Put them to bed after brushing their teeth etc. After they are settled in you can watch tv, talk on the phone with friends, if they have call waiting. Have a snack, but make sure to clean up after. Above all, make sure the kids are safe. That is your first priority! And don't forget top make it fun for you as well as them! It's a great first job, and make extra money, too! Take along a cheap digital camera and play "photo shoot" Get a sheet in the backround. Then, you can show the parents when they come home. Just make sure you put everything worn back!

*Play Princesses as if you are the maid or prince and she is the princess

*Make ice cream sundaes if the parent allows

There are many things you can do while babysitting however what I do, is make sure not to make a mess, as this will put people off using your service again. There are many things such as:

• Taking a book (or chapter book, and read a bit each time you go)
• Take a board game (Don't take the same one every time as otherwise the child/ren will be bored of playing it, take it once every three times)
• Do some colouring (make sure to watch them thought, and only give them crayons and pencils)
• Teach them a dance (Make sure its not to advanced)
• Take a film (which is appropriate for their age) ang watch it with them
• Watch something on TV
• Do a catwalk and take photos
• Do some Arts and Crafts (make sure not to use paint as it can be very messy)
• Talk about school
• Ask them what they want to do (within reason!!)
• Hide and seak
• Play a role play game

Remember, as soon as anything becomes dangerous of they get too excited before bed to stop, and calm them down.

Hide and seek around the house will keep them entertained for a while and they you could ask them what they want to do. keep them entertained the entire time or else things will go crazy. Never leave them for too long in a room alone or there will be a crying and other things that you do not want to have happen.
