It means if you don't use it, then your body naturaly 'atrpohys' gets rid of excess cells which it doesnt consider critical for survival. More muscles mass = more calories needed to sustain, so the body tears down these cells at rediculous rate that's why its so important to stay on the 'threadmill' of exercise...if you don't use it (muscle to the same extent) you loose it...
