Check out "Parental Rights"in your state. In my state I went through a divorce, however some people I know that were not married went through a court proceeding and custody, child support, etc. are determined similar to a divorce. In some cases both parents are required by the court to attend parental classes geared towards couples that have children and are no longer in a romantic relationship.

If it is just about stuff and no children, you should look up any "common law marraige" statutes you may have in your states. Sometimes if a couple has been together for a certain amount of time they are treated as a married couple when they split up.

Hope it works out for the best.

Answer

If you are not in what is considered to be a common law marriage each of you keeps whatever you went into the relationship with. If you bought things together while in the relationship such as furniture, appliances, etc., you have to try and work it out between you. If you can't there is always small claims court.

When non married couple splits up who gets what possessions?

Potentially an unpleasant situation. They each get to keep what they seperately brought to the relationship. Anything that one clearly paid for all by themselves out of their own pocket, they get to keep. What was accumulated while they were together -- things that were bought jointly they will have to come to some mutual agreement as to who gets what. If not agreement can be reached, it's time to go to court.

How do you do the splits really quick Tips and Tricks please?

Start with taking a hot shower/bath, this will really help loosen your muscles. Then, warm up by doing jumping jacks or something for about 2mins. Now, it's time to actually do your splits. Go down as far as you can and hold it, think of a song in your head to keep your mind off the pain. After that, do a couple stretches, e.g the butterfly. Then, go back to your splits. Do this daily, and in no time you will have your splits!

How long does a couple need to be married for property to be considered community property?

You do not necessarily have to be married to own jointly owned property and even when an individual is married for 60 years he could still keep property separate from his spouse. Property is considered jointly owned if you purchased it together (each contributing), your name is on the property, or in some situations when you are married and you have substantially contributed to the property. If your spouse has kept the property separate by keeping it in his name, only putting his money into it then it will be considered separate.

How much are you entitled to after your boyfriend breaks up with you?

You are not entitled to anything. Zip, zilch, zero. That is the difference between living with someone and getting married. Married couples have a legal foundation, but a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship has nothing. When it is done, it is done. You get to keep your belongings that you paid for or were gifts from others to you and he gets to keep his.
