Thunderthighs was a backing group known for their work with various artists in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly with the band Roxy Music. As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, the group is not actively performing together, and the individual members have pursued solo careers and other projects. Their contributions to music, particularly in the realm of backing vocals, remain appreciated by fans of the era. For the latest updates on their activities, it would be best to check recent news or social media platforms.

Yes, during the mid 60's, he was in a band called Bluesology, but they never released any songs or albums. That's right. Before that, he was in a short-lived band called The Corvettes, who did mostly R&B material. Bluesology acted as backing group for a number of visiting American soul stars, and in '66 were invited to become the official backing group for Long John Baldry, ending up doing 16 gigs with him at London's now-defunct Marquee Club. Elton adopted the surname of John in tribute to Baldry.
They may continue as a three members girl group or just stop promoting altogether. For now, we can just pray for the fast recovery of the remaining members.
