Societal norms and traditional gender roles often lead some individuals to express discomfort or disapproval towards men who exhibit behaviors typically associated with femininity. This can stem from deeply ingrained beliefs about masculinity and gender expectations. Consequently, those who adhere to conventional views of gender may struggle to accept men who challenge these norms. However, perspectives on gender expression are evolving, and many people embrace a more inclusive understanding of masculinity.
we are what we are!
Boys are rather like puppies. You have to train them... All you have to do is reward good behaviour and ignore behaviour that annoys you. When he does something good reward him non-verbally with a kiss, a hug, or something else that he really likes. When he does something you dont like, just ignore it. Dont chastise him as that is 'rewarding' his behaviour with attention. Good luck!

Depends on the woman.

It seems like your question is incomplete. Could you please provide more context or clarify what you mean by "the woman"? This will help me give you a more accurate response.
Possibly because there were more ways back in the day that a woman could have a life outside of the norm. Women whose husbands died or left them learned to live independently. As naturalists and knowledgeable in other ways, they were vulnerable to attack through no fault of their own.
