Why are boys mean to girls after a break up?

I am not a guy, but my guess would be that they want to be certain that the break up is understood to be final. If he was the one to break up, or if he did something unforgiveable, then there may be some guilt involved in ending the relationship. In any case, forgiveness, separating from the group he is in and moving on in life is the way to go. He is gone, let him be.

Immature guys might make fun of you after a break up. If that's the case, then forget about it and don't take it personally. Brush it off and show yourself to be too self-confident to care what he has to say about you.

Not all guys are mean to their girlfriends. If you're involved with a "mean" or abusive guy, my advice is to drop him fast. Sometimes guys change, but often they don't. And the longer you stay with an abusive person, the worse it will affect you. Think about the future: In a year or two from now, do you still want to be with a guy who treats you badly?

Probably since they can't get anyone else who is better. Guys have egos just like us girls. When you break up with them it takes a toll on their masculinity and what they could have showed off when you were with him. Now he has lost both so he is pissed at you of course. Also, he is a jerk and that's why you broke up with him to begin with. He thinks if you think he is mad at you that will make you want to get back with him. He wants you to be angry right back. Just don't let him have that power or you will end up in the sack with him again. Just ignore him cold and stay far away!

To try and hide what their actually feeling after a break-up, men will often become jerks to try and fill the tough guy role and not seem hurt by the breakup. • It may just be about anger and the reaction is about hurting her like she hurt him. People react differently to rejection and most people usually become mean as they feel a lot of hurt and pain.
