Why are break ups difficult?

• Break ups are difficult because one may still love the other and feel that the relationship could be improved upon while the person wanting the break up does not feel the same. Love can hurt and no one likes the thought that their mate falls out of love with them because there really is no explanation for this other than the fact the one wanting the break up just loves either men or women and cannot commit to anyone of the opposite sex or the two are incompatible. Also the couple have been together; in love; have great memories together and the person still in love who is left behind after the break up is going through a type of grieving process much like losing a loved one to death. In ways it is the death of beautiful relationship that once was. A person who is still in love with their ex has a right to grieve and the grieving process is generally crying; blaming oneself (when they may not be At Fault); then getting angry and eventually moving onto greener pastures where there is a special person they truly should be with. Love hurts and it has been that way for thousands of years.
