Why are tattletales bad?

Ok let me tell you a difference.

Tattling: Means to tell on someone, so they get in trouble because you want them too (For Example: He just stole my cookie)

Telling: When you tell it is sort of different, if someone is constantly hurting you or teasing you in any kind of physical way and you want it to stop then you tell.

So Tattling is bad because you want to get the guy/girl in trouble, not because your trying to make them stop...
