Most adolescents are normally emotionally disturbed because they are going through hard life-changes, puberty. Others go through harder life-changes, such as depression, death of a loved one, parents divorce, break-up, and so on. Many are attracted to such people because either they have a big heart and want to help them because it makes them feel good or unfortunately they feel superior or better then the disturbed adolescent, which boosts up there self-esteem.
